I don't have a virtual ECU (vECU) yet. Does violis still make sense?

Even if you don't have a vECU yet, violis allows you to easily and scalably offload local resources and integrate and execute individual simulations, software components, or models. In many cases, this significantly increases throughput and reduces local overhead.

However, we are also happy to assist you with vECU generation through our expert team.

My company lacks access to modern IT tools like CI/CD/CT frameworks. Is violis still useful for me?

For automation, we provide helpful pipeline templates and a ready-to-use CI/CD framework right out of the box.

How much does violis cost?

violis can be used as a ready-made service in the Bertrandt Cloud or self-hosted with individual modules in your own IT environment.
Pricing varies accordingly, ranging from a pay-per-use model to a fixed annual price. Please contact us and we will find the perfect solution for you.

What technical solution is used in the background to run the simulation?

For background execution, we rely on a modular, container-based (Docker) solution. This is fundamentally independent of the hosting provider, as the violis stack is developed to be cloud-agnostic.

In plain terms, this means you can connect your own Kubernetes/container solution to violis. Alternatively, you can of course use the version we provide.

Can I continue to use my own simulation or test automation tool?

Yes, in principle, any tool with an API can be connected to violis. Thanks to the open framework, you can perform the integration yourself (developer skills required).

Can I develop my own plugins and connect them to violis?

Yes, API endpoints are available for all violis modules, allowing you to develop your own plugins to interface with them.
