Physical test benches are finite – software releases are not. If testing remains tied to hardware, a bottleneck is inevitable.
Serial test sequences noticeably slow down the development process. While software continues to evolve, testing waits for its next slot.
Teams wait for available test environments instead of continuing development. Valuable development time is lost to downtime and coordination efforts.
Bugs are often only detected when changes are already expensive and complex. The later they are found in the process, the higher the effort to fix them.
More testing needs mean more hardware – and thus more investment. Costs rise linearly, while true scalability and flexibility remain out of reach.
Software-driven systems are becoming increasingly connected and complex. Traditional test structures cannot keep up with this pace – and are reaching their limits.
Different tools, manufacturers, and test environments make consistent validation difficult. With violis.io, we break down these silos and intelligently connect these environments for end-to-end traceability.
Hardware only increases capacity linearly – software-based tests scale in parallel. By relying on virtual environments, you gain speed and independence.
violis shifts testing to a software-defined platform: ECUs are mapped virtually, scenarios are orchestrated automatically, and execution happens in parallel in the cloud.
Hardware remains free – for the final quality check. Because up to 75% of all bugs are found purely virtually. Anything that reaches the hardware has already passed the quality gate.
violis provides virtual machines and modern work environments—no ticket system, no waiting. Hosting at the customer's site upon request. violis shifts testing to a software-defined platform: ECUs are virtually mapped, scenarios are automatically orchestrated, and executions run in parallel in the cloud.
No lengthy setup. Operate in your environment or ours—your choice.
Developers and testers get environments in minutes—no IT tickets, no waiting for hardware. Just start and get to work immediately.
Preconfigured stacks for testing, development, and QA. Consistent environments across the entire team—no more discrepancies between local and CI.
For companies with compliance requirements: violis runs entirely within your own infrastructure. Full control over data and network—with no cloud dependency.

Bugs found early in the development process cost a fraction of what later fixes require.
Software-based tests run identically, regardless of the time, team, or environment. No human error, no inconsistent results.
violis fits seamlessly into CI/CD workflows – without restructuring existing development processes. If you lack modern pipelines, we provide ready-to-use templates!
violis integrates your vECUs directly into the test environment – automatically via our API or manually via upload. No need to switch tools.
Configure test jobs once, connect existing test suites and tools – violis manages and executes them automatically.
Instead of running tests one by one, run them all simultaneously – scalable, without additional hardware, 24/7.
All test results converge in one place – with intelligent analytics and reports available instantly.
Tests and setups can be repeated at the push of a button – exactly as they were once configured. Even years later.
Deep expertise in embedded systems, ECU architectures, and functional integration.
Experience in SiL, HiL, and complete vehicle validation – from initial simulation to after-sales. Because software updates accompany modern vehicles for years after they enter production.
Transitioning classic test processes into automated, cloud-ready platform structures.

This is where violis comes from. The platform was created in our own HiL labs at Bertrandt, based on experience from a multitude of real OEM projects. We don't virtualize testing from a drawing board, but from years of practical experience with real hardware. That exact knowledge is what goes into every automated test scenario today.
You will walk away with a concrete assessment of which of your tests can be virtualized – and how much time that will save you.
30 minutes, one expert, one honest assessment. Together, we will look at your current test workflow and show you where virtual testing would have the greatest impact.
Your status quo
Where are the bottlenecks today – HiL utilization, release speed, tool silos?
Your potential
Which tests could be virtualized – and how much time would that save?
Your next step
A clear assessment of whether and how violis fits your setup.
Select an available slot directly. No back-and-forth emails.
Imagine every employee having their own test bench, validating test implementations instantly on their own. Every variant is tested in parallel, while the hardware test bench focuses entirely on major releases.

Connect existing software, tools, and IT systems via standardized interfaces.
Connecting virtual and physical test environments.
Operated in the secure Bertrandt Cloud or self-hosted. IT security requirements are always included.
Bertrandt has decades of experience in hardware-related testing of vehicle functions.
violis successfully translates this know-how into a software-defined platform logic.
This means:
Looking to digitize your development processes to save time and money? Want to test your virtual ECUs or SiL simulations more intelligently and scalably than on a standard PC?
violis brings all of this together in an open platform, and you decide which tools or systems to connect.
Employees don't have to change their workflows, and we provide simple templates for automation, for example.
It is an open and independent framework that does not lock you into a single vendor, giving you maximum flexibility. This is a huge benefit for maintaining your independence in the future.
As a service, violis is the perfect entry point for smaller companies into future-proof digital testing.
For large corporations, it is a flexible solution to supplement test benches not just with a single product, but with a fully orchestrated ecosystem of simulation, automation, and data management.
Even if you don't have a vECU yet, violis allows you to easily and scalably offload local resources and integrate and execute individual simulations, software components, or models. In many cases, this significantly increases throughput and reduces local overhead.
However, we are also happy to assist you with vECU generation through our expert team.
For automation, we provide helpful pipeline templates and a ready-to-use CI/CD framework right out of the box.
violis can be used as a ready-made service in the Bertrandt Cloud or self-hosted with individual modules in your own IT environment.
Pricing varies accordingly, ranging from a pay-per-use model to a fixed annual price. Please contact us and we will find the perfect solution for you.
For background execution, we rely on a modular, container-based (Docker) solution. This is fundamentally independent of the hosting provider, as the violis stack is developed to be cloud-agnostic.
In plain terms, this means you can connect your own Kubernetes/container solution to violis. Alternatively, you can of course use the version we provide.
Yes, in principle, any tool with an API can be connected to violis. Thanks to the open framework, you can perform the integration yourself (developer skills required).
Yes, API endpoints are available for all violis modules, allowing you to develop your own plugins to interface with them.
